Alice Hurel
This collection is about a moment of self-discovery.
I struggled with femininity from day one of my hair loss, I used clothing to sometimes hide or to express my sensitivity, to take cover from vulnerability. In these clothes I have wrapped my childhood memories in Japan, my identity and my roots with the pivotal role of clothes as a cocoon and protector. These clothes are a platform to express the comfort and belonging that “home” brings, the vulnerability and lack of which we try to protect against.
