James Gregory-Campeau
I grew up on the family farm, and so did my Grandfather. However since the age of nineteen I have been split between two places - my rural Derbyshire home and urbanised London. Tradition vs. modernity.
His life then vs. my life now. Can the two be combined? In an attempt to subvert the obvious, the clothes my Grandfather wore throughout his working life are to be transposed into a minimalist urban setting, where style alternatively takes the precedent over purpose - indeed, many of the details that would have been so practically important then are now rendered pointless in the city. Inevitably, the context has changed the meaning.
